Lessons from Water

Troubled waters conceal the bottom
Waters when stilled reveal all below

Throw a pebble in the lake
Ripples vibrate and resonate
From shore to shore
If that was a boulder, how much more?

Soft, very soft
Vital to living things
Yet water can wear away the hardest rocks
Persistent in its gentleness

Hit the water
It hits back
Gently wade into it
It embraces you

Flexible, malleable, formless, shapeless
It takes to where it is contained

Water sustains all life
